Senior Mechanical Engineer, MEP

Role Overview As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead mechanical MEP and HVAC engineering delivery across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with approved scope, quality requirements, and schedule. You will apply relevant TAQA engineering standards, technical specifications, and project procedures throughout execution. What You Will Do Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing HVAC calculations, equipment selection, duct layouts, chilled water piping, ventilation, pressurization systems, and related deliverables. You will also ensure HVAC installations meet project-specific environmental, operational, reliability, and performance requirements. Why It Might Be a Fit To be a fit for this role, you will need to have 8–12 years of relevant mechanical MEP/HVAC experience in industrial construction or energy and utilities projects, with TAQA project experience being mandatory. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering • 8–12 years of relevant mechanical MEP/HVAC experience in industrial construction or energy and utilities projects • TAQA project experience is mandatory • Familiarity with applicable ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and project-specific requirements • Knowledge of ventilation, ductwork, chilled water systems, equipment selection, and load calculations • Technical submittals, shop drawings, material approvals, vendor documentation, and site execution • Understanding of TAQA project execution, documentation, inspection, testing, quality, and handover requirements • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality • Ability to work with tough deadlines and under pressure • Ability to work in ADNOC project sites • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
