Assistant Project Manager

Role Overview The Assistant Project Manager will support the management and delivery of multidisciplinary civil infrastructure design projects, working closely with the Project Manager and technical teams to maintain control of scope, programme, interfaces, risks, changes and project deliverables. What You Will Do Key responsibilities include supporting the Project Manager in day-to-day management, developing and updating project programmes, coordinating interfaces between technical disciplines, tracking project progress, and supporting project controls. Why It Might Be a Fit The successful candidate should be comfortable working across disciplines, have a technical background in utilities, roads or transportation, and have existing exposure to project or design management within an engineering consultancy environment. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. • 3–7 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated exposure to project management and/or design management. • Technical background in utilities, roads and transportation infrastructure. • Previous engineering consultancy experience is essential. • Good understanding of multidisciplinary design delivery and project lifecycle requirements. • Strong working knowledge of project planning, project controls, risk and change management. • Experience coordinating multiple disciplines, stakeholders and project interfaces. • Working knowledge of authority requirements, regulations and approval processes in Abu Dhabi, with exposure to Dubai and Saudi Arabia considered advantageous. • Strong organizational, communication and stakeholder-management skills. • Familiarity with scheduling and project management tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. • PMP or equivalent project management qualification is advantageous.
